The word ‘Handsome’ refers to the Boy with the gorgeous smile
The ‘Quick Test’ refers to the Intention of the exercise.

Still working on correction of the Eye issue in the previous entry
i was not ready to start proper work on the Pad on this one
but been eager to quickly explore any possible challenges
while believing it looked straightforward and easy as a breeze
i picked a ‘small piece of paper’ and drew the outlines.

Before i knew it, it had taken hold of me and could not let go
just this bit and i will stop’ i kept saying, feeling the tug
of getting back to the task of completing the previous one.

Then i realised i had problem with the left Eye – – – again!
Additionally, the ‘small piece of paper’ was too small, making it
impossible to erase a small part using a block eraser, without
erasing all surrounding lines, also rough and absorbent
and the blue coloured pen much harder to erase completely,

PR3-AD

Any sane person would have scrapped it and waited to do it
properly on the Right pad / paper and in manageable size…
but i am a possessed maniac and it was finally
midnight exhaustion that turned the lights out
…both in my brain and the room.

PR4-AD

Of course the maniac in me caught up with it the next day
and the next … and the next … and did not let go

PR5-AD

until practically any effort of undoing, correcting
or improving looked like ending up in complete ruin.

The hidden challenge:
‘How do you draw ‘young puppy fat’ …without lines?
so you don’t end up with a 5 yr boy looking like an 85 yr old fellow?
The answer i guess / observed is in layers of colours and shadows
One more skill to develop…

So that’s why i named it A Quick Handsome Test
even though quick it was not–handsome i hope still remains.

His next one will be one worthy of Framing  😛 …or i ll die! Lol!
